Message first thing that pops into my head is the insurance. It's going to be through the roof... way way through the roof...
when i was 21, i had the car under my father's name and i was still paying $6 grand a year and it was garaged, 2 separate alarms, a master fuel cutoff, defensive driving course completion... etc... it's EXPENSIVE.

Beyond that, the 300zx is not a good first car. Sometimes she's moody and sticks an injector for a bit, other times it's a vacuum leak, compression loss or smokin turbos... But most of the time when she's working fine, if you don't know how to handle the Z, you will certainly be adding it to the list of dead Z's... It's a money pit like you've never known before. Even with the money, it gets to you after a bit... before you know it, you've dropped $30K+... some guys have spent over $70K...

Plus, everyone knows that your first car should be a beater... get something that will be reliable, cheap and easy to fix and wont make you cry if it gets wrecked, stolen, or vandalized by retard morons at school or other jealous assholes who do shit like that.

The ttZ is a weekend car/toy. it's ok as a dd, but if avoidable, it's left in the garage until it's time to play...

and don't compare a 240sx to the ttz... it's night and day. the Z is a beast in a sexy shell...

My advice to you, listen to the guys on this forum. A lot of us have owned Z's for more than a decade...
